Information we collect

• Account information. If you create an account, our authentication provider (Clerk) collects your email address and manages your session. We store your email address and account tier/role in our own database.
• Contact form. If you use the contact form, your name, email address, and message are sent directly to us by email. We do not store contact-form submissions in our database.
• Data corrections. If you submit a data correction, the company, field, proposed value, your justification, and — if you're not signed in — an email address you provide are stored in our database so the correction can be reviewed.

How we use it

We use this information to operate your account, respond to inquiries, and review and apply data corrections. We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for advertising or marketing to third parties.

Third-party service providers

We use a small number of service providers to operate the Site, each of which processes only what its function requires:

• Clerk — authentication and account management.
• Resend — delivers contact-form emails.
• Neon — hosts our database.
• Tiingo — supplies market price data used to calculate index figures; it never receives personal information, only ticker and date queries.

Cookies and tracking

The Site does not use analytics, advertising, or tracking cookies of any kind. Signing in sets a session cookie managed by Clerk, used only to keep you signed in.

Data retention

We retain account information for as long as your account exists, and correction submissions as part of the Site's data-provenance record. You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time — see below.

Your rights

You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information at any time by reaching out via the contact page.

Children's privacy

The Site isn't directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Continued use of the Site after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
